Exhaust

What ler do our TCs have oem?  Seems like the replacement recommendation is for Magnaflow(s).

When choosing the best replacement what is of better consideration for a 4 cyl?  The area of a single 3" is 7in, 2.5" is 9.8in, 2.25" is 8in.

The duel 2.5 is the best flowing, but is also twice the weight of a single 3.

Im all about quiet, what will be best, duals or a single.  Ive had straight flow through lers in the past and they were pretty loud, does anyone have a resonater fitted into thier system?

Not sure what you mean by "what ler," it's your standard OE py ler. It's and offset/offset configuration also.

I put dual 2 1/2" on mine mostly for looks, and for ease of routing the tailpipes (and I liked the fact that you could get mandrel bent 2 1/2" Mustang tailpipes for $100 a pair). I wouldn't care to run a 3" tailpipe out the back on my car.

Also, a side benefit- I'm running dual Hooker Maximum Flow lers, and the second ler seems to help take a lot of the tractor sound out of the exhaust note. I have a little video of my car that I could post up later if you want to hear how mine sounds. I love it, I think it sounds great.

Flowmaster mandrel bent 2 1/2" '87-93 Mustang LX tailpipes through Summit...$99 a pair.

I was JUST eyeing those ;)

Ive been wanting to get a full exhaust ever since I got my TC. The stock tailpipes were rotted away and we cut them off right off the bat, and put sidepipes on it.  Well its just not comfortable to drive long distances in. But im short on money, so I figure, I can get those pair of tailpipes, hook one of them up to the stock DP-cat (which is hollow), and then I would have the exhaust running out the back, and later when I get more money I can afford a Y pipe and lers, or get a 1 inlet/2 outlet ler, and eventually a 3 inch downpipe.

Just remember that you'll need about a 12" extension (or some tips) on the Mustang tailpipes to reach the bumper.
