I think the older Fox Mustang dash would look awesome inside a four-eye Cougar Thunderbird.
I'm talking about the ones with the "allen screw plate" design and red illumination. Pre-'87, maybe?

ICK!!!!!

The Mustang dash (79-86) is one of the reasons I don't like my Z7 all that much.  The 87-93 dashes are worse......

:iagree: I think the SN-95 dashes look better in the newer Tbirds/Cougars. The "dual-pod" design just seems to "work" with the interior, I know it's something I'm going to do eventually..just for the better gauges alone...nevermind the looks.

I think the 79-86 dash may not look too bad in an 81-83 Bird or Cougar, then again, I've not seen one in those cars...:dunce:

80-82 ;)

And NO....it would not look better in one of those either.  I like the set-up in my 80 XR-7.  Less gauges?  Yes...but that can be remedied....without resorting to A-pilar pods and other  like that.
Compared to ANY TBird/Cougar dash, the Fox Mustang stuff looks low-rent.

I also don't like the Fox Mustang dash.  But the SN95 has a nice dash, I'd consider putting one in my cat but I would be worried about seat position and knee clearance.
