Newfies aren't supposed to complain about the weather, they're supposed to brag about it :D

Maybe you could get yourself a Nissan Xtrail Bona Vista edition to get you through the nasty weather too ;)

It's too bad they had to get a Cape Bretoner to do the accent! What's up with that??? :beatyoass:
It is a great commercial...I didn't even need the subtitles :hick:

Neither did I. My best friend of 20 years (sadly, now dead) was a newfie (from Gander), so I got to hear that accent a lot. Visiting his house and listening to him, his two sisters, and their parents was a real treat :D

A little embarassed to say it but....

Now I understand that commercial!  (probably because I don't pay much attention to commercials or watch much TV.)

So do we northern/prarie people sound like we have a funny accent to you eastern folk?

Yup!

For those down south who are wondering what we are talking about here's a 7MEG movie I recorded of the commercial with my digital camera. It's not the best quality but it's the best I could do with what I had to work with.

Any real Newfoundlander would know he is a fake.
