The cool thing is, the star really blew up 440 Million Years Ago, but we are just seeing it now.

That is cool. When you put this stuff in perspective it blows your mind.
I took two astronomy courses during my first and second semesters of college. It's a really interesting subject.

Makes you wonder, if this was the first time it was caught happening, how did they know stars could supernova?  Or turn into a white dwarf or black dwarf for that matter...That is some sweet stuff....looking 440 million years into the past and all.
