How many projects do you have?

So whats on your to-do list? Automotive wise i've got the following:

1959 EnFord Zephyr Needs restoration, i'm bound and determined that I will drive this to the car show next fathers day no matter what it looks like, it runs and drives but needs restoration. I take posession of my house sept 1st (YaY) so I will have a two car garage to work in (finally!) so it looks feasable at the moment.

1980/1982 t-birds, interior of 80 going in to 82 along with some extra bits I have in storage (optioal accessories etc.) Then my 351W thats been lounging in the shop for 4 years will get a set of ported and matched E7's, a low rise dual plane intake, holley 550, shorty headers, and a shift kit in the aod and lastly a repaint in tu-tone silver and blue.

Then theres the daily driver 1987 Sprint which has a head and cam kit on order, then a 2.25" exhaust, cai and fmic, maybe i'll paint it at some point but it looks so innocent like it is.

1964 Ford F100, rust bucket, still not sure what its fate is going to be but couldnt beat the price and i've got free storage at the shop so yeah... I dunno

Then theres the fleet of bikes:

1974 Yamaha rs100 first bike, needs motor (whole thing, I somehow lost it in moving!!!)

1968 yamaha YL2CM 100, full resto, none of these left around so I feel obligated to do it right.

My recently aquired 1982 Honda CM450E which doesnt really need much of anything (only 13k km) but its innevitable that I tear it down and 'dust' everything off, polish the engine cases, repaint tank & side covers then put it back together and most likely drop it in the driveway:rolleyes:

And a 1975 Kawasaki G3SSE 100 that I bought to fix and ride the hell outta then realised that too many little things were broken/missing so I sold most of the parts I dont need on ebay and am stockpiling parts at work to build a killer little gokart.

I also have 3-4-5 hundred records to organize and create a directory so my gf can find them, then do the same with a couple hundred cd's then a hundred or so cassettes which should be fun (album title, track one, track two etc.)

Oh and a couple dozen plastic models of various types

So yeah, I should have most of that done by the time i'm dead, of couse by then i'll have a dozen more projects (might have ended up with a 50's dodge fargo on the weekend?? I dont know how I got elected to keep it, but it does have those big puppy dog-like headlights) so what has everyone else got on their plate these days?

Well I'm trying to pull myself back to 4 cars..which will be 4 projects.

The 83 Tbird.  Most folks know this car.  Future plans include the Aussie X-Flow I6 conversion (turboed, etc) and a new rear suspension.

The 84TC.  Picking this car up this weekend in NC.  It will be replacing the 84 XR-7.  This will be the SHO swap car.

The 88 Scorpio.   T-5 swap waiting as well as various suspension and engine mods (2.9TT planned)

Then either the 80 XR-7 or the 80 Z-7.  One will be going away.  Not sure which yet.

I've got one seriously huge-ass project (renovating a 100 year old house) that includes:

  • Rewiring the whole house including adding electric heat and installing new 200 amp service (completed, now have option of wood, oil or electric, whichever is cheaper at the moment)
  • Hanging all new drywall (about 95% completed, 144 sheets worth
  • Replacing all plumbing (lead pipes = bad, completed)
  • Replacing all floors (about 50% completed, waiting for my brother to install tile in kitchen, bathroom, porch and laundry)
  • Replacing all bathroom fixtures (completed, including whirlpool tub :D)
  • New kitchen countertop and installation of dishwasher (completed, but waiting for aforementioned brother to install tile backsplash)
  • Installing new trim/baseboard (about 25% finished)
  • New roof (not even started)
  • Siding on the garage (not started)
  • 20X10 patio deck to be built this year, roof built over it next year
And one simply huge project consisting of several projects, the 88 'Bird. The Bird is actually finally getting some work done thanks to a seized caliper:
  • TC brake upgrade, and while I'm doing the brake upgrade I'm installing new ball joints, tie rod ends, struts, strut mounts, TC springs & swaybar, and urethane bushings (in progress).
  • I will then swap the TC rear in and install the CHE arms and KB subframe connectors.
  • Then the body will get some attention (TC nose, bumper, hood and one fender, topped off with a paint job)
  • Of course I've also got to finish the interior swap I started (gotta install the door panels, carpet, dash and headliner)
  • All of the above will hopefully be completed this year (or at least by spring). Then, next year:
  • T-5 swap
  • At some point the 351 will be rebuilt, built up (definitely aluminum heads, intake, etc, maybe a stroker kit, and installed
  • TC snowflakes still require restoration.
  • Battery's gotta go in the trunk.
  • That complete rewiring job that I've been wanting to do (the wiring will be greatly simplified/lightened)

Got any more pics of that? And you always have my wheels. :D

Darkthunder - 302, engine will be rebuilt: new heads (GT40p), .030 overbore, cam, carb, intake all that stuff. Possibly one day building a homegrown very-mild (i like my V8 to stay a "V") TT blowthru setup. :D Haven't decided on the suspension yet. Thinking about just replacing what I had and making it my daily again. :D

tcr ii - exhaust, t3, 4.10s, restart weight loss program, suspension, done.

Got a bunch of drawings I need to colour for my buddy. He's supposed to be using them for T-shirts. Except I kinda need the project below.

Rebuilding my computer. Motherboard refuses to recognize anything.

Finishing garage in Alabama. Need to finsh the walls and build some shelves.

-lets see,
the current money pit project.  what started as making the car road worthy has become the project from haidees!! che upper and lowers, refurbish(not rebuild) steering gear, rear axle, new late model mustang cobra lower front control arms, new turbo, new(but old)atr ihi down pipe, alum driveshaft, new dual exh., going thru pretty much everything on the engine, new seals, cluthes in the trans, (auto) somewhere in the garage i have a set of 16" saleen wheels for it.  new rad, complete re-wrap of the ENTIRE underhood wiring.  have new (reman) calipers all around, steeltech, slotted and drilled rotors all around, why did i start this!!!!!???  if i see the end of this one i'll be glad.

-'86 ranger 2wd doing a turbo conversion on for my son.  started good, went along good. i changed jobs to get closer to home and the freaking weirdo that took my place threw away(or sold) my doors, hood, fenders, and tailgate.  i had over 60 hours in sandblasting and body work.  not to mention primer, and paint.  but one day he WILL get his!!!!  but for now working on the chassis, needs sandblasing next, all while looking for more doors, fenders, etc....got a ford motorsports locker and girdle for the 7.5, along with a ssbc rear disc kit.  '95 front suspension and brakes, buckets out of a 88 turbo(what else)  tutone norcea blue pearl/shadow grey ext, with blue int.  it will be nice as soon as i find needed parts. grrrrr

-those are the main two needing hard physical labor i'd like to finish.  i still am working doing small things to my '93 sho.  its pretty far along, plus i still have my dads, 538 mile TC, but i prolly wont do anything to it.  i got a 5.0 '88 bird that would be good for someone to finish, ive had all the body work done,  it just needs puting back together.  and ive got a 83 TC that has the best int ive seen in a 23 year old car and the body is sweet except for a dent in the l.r. 1/4 panel.  i wanted to do it, but i think its to far out for my life time.

maybe if i come into a bunch of money, id have my original '88 ranger GT rebuilt.  i miss that truck, but i see her everyday. THANKS TO PEOPLE WITH NO INSURANCE!!!!!HEY THANKS!!!!! ok enough rant.
thats about all unless i just came across something that really caught my eye....
-'87 turbo coupe with only 740 ORIGINAL miles.... :dunce:

Not too many more.  That was after I did the euro-light swap.  I did a coil-over conversion on the front this past spring and now need to get to the rear, etc.  It needs some body work (has the typical Scorpio rear arch rot).  Have repair panels though.
It's probably the only Scorpio rolling on Tri-bars.  I know of one with Cobra wheels like my Tbird and one with "R"s.  Not a bolt-on and go deal.  Requires some mods.  The wheel/tire combo really make the car look ALOT more aggressive.

Not gonna get too deep into it but:
My 75 cougar:restored and 90% rebuilt, just not quite the way i want it,and am thinking of selling it as my TC is now my focus.

87 TC 5.0L supercharged,currently my money pit.
With only 94 000km's on the OD,it is 98% rust free and powerfull as hell, but needs paint and a trans that will handle 500hp(so another 5grand).

91 SC, currently my all year round/winter car.
Was only supposed to be that(since it was 500 bucks and is pretty rusty under the skirts) but since the new fog lights,18" rims, stereo sytem, etc, etc, i'm into it 2500cdn, which isn't bad but was supposed to be cheap transportation, yea right.

92 and 95 Seadoo XP's.
Currently another undertaking(have always wanted one,now got two), could not pass up 2 seadoo's and a double trailer for 3grand cdn.
Both run but need a few minor parts(another 200bucks), should be good for the GF and I.

My biggest problem is where to put all my stuff due to the fact that i live in a small town house.
Second is cash, I need some, why the old cat has to go,i think.

I have 3 projects going on however for a 21 year old college guy with a part/full time job and all the expenses I have, they aren't going anywhere fast.

'88 Cougar- needs a lot but is drivable
-engine rebuild
-transmission rebuild
-brakes
-replacement body panels and paint

'86 Cougar- I want to put my focus on this one now since it is the least needy.
-replace rear axle
-redo the interior
-some body work

'64 Fairlane- needs more than I'm willing to list.
