Holley Street Avenger

I just won this 570 CFM Street Avenger ebay auction# 320013774649. It's listed as having been used for a race season. My question to you guys is what should I be prepared to do when I get it? I ask because when I rebuilt my engine, my carb sat on the work bench for 3 months and on the night I fired it up again it quickly started gushing gas from it's overflow tubes, it had turned to junk and I've been weary of that fact ever since. So advice?
