horn problem Reply #1 – July 27, 2006, 12:38:33 AM Not sure about the relay but the horns are on the frame rails in front of each tire. Have they ever worked? Have you tired pushing in twards the column on the turn signal switch? some cars came with that as an extra horn button. Maybe the clock ring is toast. (the part behind the sterring wheel. Maybe one of the wires right where it connects to the clock ring. Also most of the factory horns have a screw on them near the wire plug try turning that sometimes that makes them work. Also maybe they are pluged up with dirt or rusted inside. hope this helps. Sorry I don't know where the relay is. Quote Selected
horn problem Reply #2 – July 27, 2006, 05:06:01 PM so i put a relay in- found it in aldata the ford manual is wrong- its above the glove box under the dash.the relay didnt work:nono: lol i always tell people to not throw parts at cars and to diag them correctly. i put the 12v to the horns and they worked, checked the ground going to the switch and hit the switch i got ground to the other side of the switch so i assumed it was the relayi took the trim off the colum and it looks like the purple wire that turns into the yellow and green wire has an open in it- im gonna run out and get my puller now and pull the wheel and check the wireing out Quote Selected
