Russ... now that I think about it... matte black wouldn't look that bad. I just don't know if I wana go white or matte now.

black will show less dirt and make touchups a breeze.

Yea, It would go along with the overall color scheme of your car too.

I dunno... Maybe look for some pictures of white cars with black engine compartments to help you decide or something?

I think you sold me on black. It would make all the allumnium stand out as well. Is there any way to paint it and do a good job with the motor still in the car? Just mask things off and take my time?

TAKE YOUR TIME and mask everything off really good. Some platic wrap on the wiring harnesses,a lot of tape and paper.I use old magazines with shiny pages.they work great, and I've nt experienced bleed through with the paint.

Newspaper bleeds through too easy (my own opinion).

Well, for painting some semi-flat black, newspaper will probably be fine.that paint dries fast.

This we shall try:hick:

How many cans you think it will take, 3-4? And what all should be painted? I was thinking firewall, radiator "frame", framerails, inner fenders... Just about everything white now
