Texas Convoy July 17, 2006, 01:05:28 AM I know, I'm a nut! At least I'm in a goofy mood tonight!:D I was thinking maybe someone from Texas might want to join me in my trip to CatJam this year? (this will be my 3rd year).It is only about 1,500 miles from Houston. 2 Years ago I went East through Louisianna, and then North up through Mississppi and so on...Last year I went up from here to Dallas, then kinda NE through Little Rock, Memphis, Nashville....this year for something a Little different i think I will go way up to Oklahoma City, then cut over east from there over to St. Louis.So...anyone? anyone?See y'all this weekend (I hope).-royce Quote Selected

Texas Convoy Reply #3 – July 17, 2006, 09:30:52 PM Yes, i will be coming up I-71 for most of my trip through Ohio, but at this point I can't even really say for sure what DAY I'll be getting there, let alone a time.If I end up coming in on friday, it would most likely be later than most, as I would probably be starting out still quite some distance away.Looks like I may just be on my own again this year...:( I even tried bringing friends - was gunna let them drive XENA (the 30th) if they wanted to so they would have a Cougar of their own! I am leaving north of cincy just after 12 noon, stopping in Columbus for a breather and halfway point and maybe meeting a car there, and then stopping in Akron to meet up with a couple cars there (along I-76), and most likely getting something to eat (in Akron) just before the last 1 or so hour of our trip up.Total road time for me is just over 4 hours (not to rub it in :D ), but it will be a 5+ hour trip with the stops. Reply #5 – July 19, 2006, 01:57:38 PM okay!I'm behind my own schedule (as usual for me!) but right after this post I am officially beginning my trek to Ohio!Don't have a clue how far I will get today Heck i don't even know which way I'm going yet! - I plan on just going until i get tired, then I'll just find a hotel for the night wherever I end up. Same deal for tomorrow...Not even sure if I'll end up in Youngstown late Thursday night or some time Friday.Had a lot of little things to do around the house and to the car before i hit the road, and it always takes longer that I think! The car won't be 100% as clean as possible this year, but I've decided to be o.k. with that :D and just relax and have a good time..See everyone in a couple days!(*p.s. - I won't have access to internet while on the road, but if anyone really needs me for anything, give me a call...baxo, 4thqtr, and Eric have my cell phone number and I'm sure you could get it from them if you needed to...I don't want to post it here..)
