On account of my freind chad being over here today, he said that he has a Flathead ford V8 in his garage. Not sure what year though as it's his dads. Does that count? The oldest part of my car is the whole thing. It's an 84'.

I got an 84 XR7 door, a gold 86 tc door, 83 trunk lid, rims off an 1979 mustang( I doubt they are that old being american racing and all) 1984 cougar front drivers seat, I think I have the radio out of my 78 ford van in there right now.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

The oldest car part I have is a set of wheel covers for a 1950 Plymouth. Now the oldest part on the Tbird has to be most of the car. It was built in September of 87 and was car 4036 off the line for 88.

I suppose if you wanna count FUNCTIONAL parts (the V8 badges I noted above aren't on the car so not yet functional) I'd say the '83 Cougar center console and '83 Grand Marquis tripminder are probably the oldest. Some parts carry older part numbers (dome light) but they're not actually that old...

That reminds me...there is (or was, about 5-6 years ago) a Flathead V8 just laying on the ground behind my old high school. I'd like to take it but I don't know how heavy those things are, and it would have to be carried a about 30 yards to get it to a vehicle.

Found something better. I have a set of OLD crager s/s wheels Not sure how old. I cleaned out the garage to put my car in and found them. Also there is a 455 Pontiac engine on a stand. It's out of a 70' goat.
