Heater panel control cable options/conversion November 15, 2005, 09:15:01 PM I'm just finishing the taurus/sable rotary heater panel conversion on my 86 cougar. I used a heater panel from a mid 90s Ford probe, its the same as the taurus one but the slider cable is VERY short and will not work for the conversion. I don't know if its the same as the taurus slider cable but I was wonder what others have used and what works??? I need to get the dash together asap so I'd appreciate any info. right away.Thanks.C. Heater panel control cable options/conversion Reply #2 – May 07, 2006, 06:51:42 AM I just did this to my '85 yesterday and let me say, it's not a bad project to deal with. The hardest part was getting the slider cable to work right... I'm also having trouble getting the vaccuum to work right... however, that part wasn't working right to begin with. Quote Selected

Heater panel control cable options/conversion Reply #6 – May 07, 2006, 01:50:48 PM How does the mustang compare in length? I used the Taurus cable but it is very tight. A longer one would be nice. Quote Selected
