smoke from my 5.0 Reply #1 – April 30, 2006, 03:13:32 PM Leaky dipstick tube or more likely a leaky valve cover gasket. When you push the engine (I'm assuming high rpms and such) you're forcing oil at a much higer rater to the valves and such so if you have a leaky valve cover gasket th oil can get out. It'll then drip on the exhaust manifold and create smoke. Quote Selected

When I first bought my car I drove it home and gave it a good once over. I was actually able to spin the valve cover bolts by hand. Quote Selected
