Smaller bigger longer shorter makes no difference. Mount the 255 any way you see fit and game over. I have modifies several cars to use the 255 even HONDA cars we build. As long as they pump the engine could give a flip how long or short or fat or skinny the pump is. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! Thanks!!!
I spend money I don't have, To build  cars I don't need, To impress people I don't know

HAVE YOU DRIVEN A FORD LATELY!!

The cfi motors jave two pumps, one lift, and one high pressure. I'd personally swap the lines and go 86-88 tyle, but it a bunch of work, especially if parts are rare (such as australia I assume...)

When me and mt buddy did his, the first was a cheapie "airtek" that didn't even throw30psi and made all kinds of noise. We ordered a "performance" pump from orileys, and it had a walbro stamp on it. I belive it was 110lph or however they rate it, and was only $10 more then a stock replacement one.

not all the cfi's had dual pumps, I believe only the duraspark setups (box fox and up to 84 i believe) had dual pumps.  even my late production 84 had one pump in the tank,, oddity but just sayin

Tom, if I were the owner of said Saab, I'd upgrade too...the vehicle, that is. LMAO.

Yeah, zip ties in a solvent? Not such a good idea. Of course, most are polyethylene, so they may hold, but I'd use a clamp if need be.

dont buy cheap,, get zip ties made by "Panduit",, they feel / look / bend and literally sound differently.  Reisistant to UV/solvents and heat or cold.

Found at Grainger or Graybar,, and you will pay.  I buy them in packs of 1000 for 75$

There is a difference in the HO & SO pumps, but I doubt there is any between a 3.8 & SO...

Everyone beats their chest about having a 255Lph but is totally unnecessary on anything but a all out modified, and/or boosted engine... I doubt the stock lines fuel & rails will even begin to flow 255Lph...

i agree,
one could get off much cheaper with a 1990 so 3.8L super charge mercury cougar pump and these pumps fit right in the OEM hanger.  The sock is a tiny bit different but can be modified to accept your oem sock.

The sock on our pumps restrict flow though ,, pay attention to the ID of nipple fitting on the pump and you will see that the lines are about 20% larger than the output of the pump.

Supercharger 3.8L pumps are about 95LPH,  the Bosch is approx 65.

the name of the game is to have flow and psi, and over time our oem pumps bushings and brushes wear reducing the flow.  .. so... you want to put in a pump that "after" it starts to wear out, its meeting the min requirements of your injectors demand.
