Parting out a car?

There are generally indenpendants around that own their rig and make their money by just hauling junk cars to the crusher/recyclers. As long as it is accessable, I would think one of these guys would come and get it, no matter what the cond. At worse it may cost you a few bucks to have them take it(IE bare shell, no drivetrain). I've gotten rid of several using this method...

Down in florida we had mexicans that would come around and take our old trees and shrubs away.  They only wanted like 20-30 bucks to hual it to the dump.

A month and a half. :flip:  I'm actually coming back down too. But this time I'll be there for a darn long time.  I'm going to transfer to Devry in Tampa.

i've parted about 20 or so cars. i just call the local junkyard and they come take whatever i have, and only one has had wheels. they just drag it up on the flatbed. i don't even have to give my address, just my name and they know where to come :giggle:

or you could always throw your old parts back in the tc, and then sell it for what you paid.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
