Clutch cable question

Alright being that I don't have a donor car for my T5 swap, my dad and I are a bit confused at how the clutch cable hooks up the clutch fork and how the cable is routed.  He doesn't think the ball just gets pushed into the open end of the fork and it has me questioning it as well.  And looking at my engine bay, I can't really see how the cable goes from the firewall down to the trans without getting all twisted and such.  Like I said I don't have a donor car or a car that has a T5 cable clutch setup to look at or even pictures of any.  The Haynes book falls way short as usual and ShopKey at my job didn't help me out either.  So I'm hoping to get some advice before I go and start ruining my new stuff.

Which bellhousing do you have?  The direct pull or the one w/ the little short "dogbone" cable and bell crank?

The cable routes out to the front of the car, then makes a turn and goes under the motor mount 'riser" on the Kmember and to the bell.

It's got an arm with a little cable on the one end and just a hole at the other.  So I take it thats the dogbone kind.

Sounds like you're missing the clevis that goes in that hole to hold the cable end then.

Wonderful....I can't seem to find it anywhere.  Perhaps I can make one??  Looking at what I have, it looks like a piece with a U bend with a notch for the cable to slide through should do the job.

Yup, that should do it.
