35 MPH Top Speed

Well, still i have problems tunning my carburetor. I get rid the problem of the idle (thanks chuck w), and the car runs excellent, i can spin the tires without effort and the tranny shifts fine. All is good but when i am cruising at 35 MPH or more, the car sputters and bogs and refuses to go more than this speed. I checked the spark plugs and all are OK. The Gap is Ok. The cables looks good. I guess the timming is Ok. The battery is new. The distribuitor cap is Ok. The TFI is new and the spark module is good. Everything work properly before i changed the carburetor to another from the same type. Any hints what would be my problem ? Thanks...

Hows your fuel pump?
BobNorway;)
There are only two tools you will ever need:
1) WD40
2) Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it moves and shouldn't, use the duct tape.

Could be a clogged fuel filter, is there one in the carb inlet?? Also if this problem has developed since the carb swap, possibly may be a clogged main jet inside it. It often happens to carbs that set around with old gas in them.

Just stay out of 25mph zones and you'll never get a speeding ticket... :hick:
