Drivers Seat not Centered with Steering Wheel March 01, 2006, 03:45:40 PM I've been driving another car lately so when I got back to driving my 87 tbird I noticed that the drivers seating position was not centered with the steering wheel. On my 87 the steering wheel is right of center a couple of inches compared to the drivers seat. Checked the seat and it was mounted securely, so was the steering wheel. So I wonder why Ford made my car like that? All these years and I just now noticed it. Are your tbirds like this or is mine the only one? Quote Selected
Drivers Seat not Centered with Steering Wheel Reply #1 – March 01, 2006, 04:21:12 PM Maybe not. Maybe the other car's steering wheel was too far left of center. Quote Selected
Drivers Seat not Centered with Steering Wheel Reply #2 – March 01, 2006, 04:39:32 PM I noticed the same with my new racing seats, and the mustang seats I swapped in. I wonder, but after a small while, I guess i just got used to hanging my left hand from the wheel while resting my right on the console. Quote Selected
Drivers Seat not Centered with Steering Wheel Reply #3 – March 01, 2006, 04:46:04 PM It's Fox cars in general...they are off center. SN95's put the steering wheel a little more toward centered but it's still off a bit.And that is also why we have the infamous Fox seatback twist. Quote Selected
