Rehabing some Marchals for the 83 March 07, 2006, 12:32:04 AM Well as I'm slowly getting things done on the '83 Tbird, one of the projects is to install the Marchal fog lights. I had 2 sets of them, one with good glass and py housings (rusted) and one with py glass and nice rust-free housings. So I removed the glass from the one set and installed them in the good housings.and cleaned-up and reattached the "cats"Now aside from some new bulbs all I need to do is get the brackets mounted.Which leads to another problem. I think my '83 bumper has no provisions to attach the fog brackets seeing as it was not a TC to begin with...D'OH!... I checked and I don't see any holes for me to install the nut-clips. So I can either drill a couple holes and do it that way, or I think I have an 85 TC bumper in the trunk of the 80 XR-7 in storage which I aquired when I got the TC bumper cover. But that will entail removing the entire bumper cover AGAIN..... Quote Selected

Rehabing some Marchals for the 83 Reply #2 – March 07, 2006, 08:12:20 AM I say good job on the lights, and if you drill holes it can still look professional... no need to take that off and put one on... But yes... keep up the good work. Quote Selected
Rehabing some Marchals for the 83 Reply #3 – March 07, 2006, 09:04:03 AM Drilling holes....mmm....it works but it's a pain. Been there, done that many times, back in tha DAY. It's much easier to bolt on the correct TC bumper core if you have it, Chuck. Removing the bumper cover is also a pain but worth the effort when the fog light bracket bolt up right. Anyhow, the fog lights look great man. I've repaired quite a few in my day and the end results are usually great.BTW, there's a set of Marchal fog lights on eBay right now that are fairly interesting... Quote Selected
Rehabing some Marchals for the 83 Reply #4 – March 07, 2006, 09:09:24 AM Well, I'm going to slide by my "storage" garage over lunch and see if that bumper is in the trunk.I also had the painter paint the covers for these too (they were pretty beat). I'll probably touch up the lettering with some white paint as well as they're all one color ATM.I guess if I don't have the bumper core any more it's hole drilling time. Quote Selected
Rehabing some Marchals for the 83 Reply #5 – March 07, 2006, 03:26:29 PM Well I did still have the TC bumper core, so I guess I'll be swapping that. While I'm in there I suppose I'll get my oil cooler mounted even though I haven't got the fittings/lines yet. At least it will be in place. Quote Selected
