4 Months without starting

Well, the engine in the cougar hasn`t been started since october. The battery died, the carb was removed and the water in the radiator was drained. I want to know which things i need to do to re-start an engine  with this time of no work time. I heard things about threw a rod, or bad oil pressure at first, because oil lubrication cant be enough, and some people suggested to add some oil removing the valve covers to prevent breaking of some springs. Thanks in advance...

IMHO I would just pull the coil wire and crank it over for a couple of seconds to lube it up.

Top up the fluids and fire it up, 4 months isnt too long.

I gotta get a truck running that hasnt been touched in 5 years. In this case i'm changing all the filters, new plugs, fresh oil, then crank over a few times while the plugs are out before starting to lube it up a bit.

I parked my tbird for a year and a half and it fired up fine and all I did was add a battery, I wouldnt worry about it on my vehicle but this truck is mt GF's parents:hick:

my car hadent been started in 7 years and after i fixed the lack of compression (rplaced the timing chain) it fired right up and hasent had a problem so if i was you id just fire it up and let it idle for a little bit before driving so it can build oil pressure. then get the oil cahnged.
