One handed typing...

Yes, thats what im doing. No, and not for that reason you s!

Yesterday at work, i broke the hell out of my left hand ing finger. Was going through a s pile digging something out, when a large piece of 1/8" thick steel plate decided to try to cut my finger off. Luckily, it barely broke the skin, but it left my finger a goofy S shape untill i swelled up. Went to a hospitol, and a woman was pulling the shiznit out of it trying to set it, and it wouldnt go, so im seeing anorthopedic specailist today.

If i get a scanner working, ill post the x-rays.

I got one too! My senior year in highschool I cut the first finger of my left hand in half lengthways from the first knuckle through the second on a industrial bandsaw...not that painfull, but it bled pints.

yeah....a few, no several now, years ago i was using a table saw too rip several thousand peices of wood about 1/2 thick. i used the same push stick for too long and it finally kicked back just right and just about pushed itself through the palm of my hand. luckally didnt break anything or damage it permanantly. it was pretty gross though cause i had too pull it out.

sorry to hear that man.  I hope you get it straightened out, no pun intended.  I know that had to hurt like hell.

Actually, there was no pain. I felt it break, but it didnt hurt because i went into mild shock, and untill last night, it didnt hurt at all. One doctor tried to set it, didnt hurt one bit, i kept playing with it, didnt hurt, then i smacked it on the kitchen counter, even with the splint on, and then THAT hurt.

I go in tuesday for mild surgery, theyre putting two little pins in the bone, in an x-pattern, to hold it in place. The doctor gave me a new splint, so im able to type with both hands, not nearly as well as normal, but its still typing faster than one handed.

Whats creepy is that if i move my hand certain ways, or smack it on something, i can feel the bones crack and pop together, and then it hurts a little bit.

What hurts more is the  shot they gave me in my right sholder.
