Fender Markers

There is no difference between fenders with and without the fender markers, are there (other than the cutout of course)? Since its nearly impossible to find TC fender moulding without the cutout, I figured I'd try taking it to a place to have the fenders marked and cut. Does anyone see any problems with this? How should the cuts be treated to prevent rust? Just primer/paint?

Of course, the most important question. What type of place would do this and have clean, straight (factory looking) cuts?

You're talking about the cornering light cutouts, correct? I believe the fenders meant FOR cornering lights have a metal reinforcement in that area on the inside, plus the studs for mounting the lights are welded on. Otherwise they are generally the same as non-cornering light fenders. Primer and painting is as good as anything to prevent rust.

A good, clean cut from a plasma cutter should do the trick. Otherwise, an air grinder or even a Dremel tool can be used. With some sanding on the cut edges you should have a reasonable facsimilie of the original.

Yeah, the turn signal lights in the fenders. I would just swap them out, but both fenders, as well as the rest of the car, are already prepped for paint. Just would like to know what differences there are. I may not go ahead with this, and just continue looking for some fender moulding without the cutouts for a TC bumper cover

here's a pic of a cornering light fender without the light. you just have to trim the light hole out, and drill a couple holes for the studs. I did this on my old XR7, when I replaced a fender. The hole doesn't have to be absolutely perfect, as the trim covers it.:D
