Help wire fuel pump

How would I wire my fuel pump in my 88 cat Im swapping in a 2.3 turbo and do not know if the fuel pump will work with the harness of the 2.3? Also i was concerned because I had a 351w in the cat but it self destructed and I chopped up alot of the harness that the car had. The car originally had a 3.8 and I was gonna wire the fuel pump with a switch to be able to turn it on and off with a switch but want to do it the right way thanks.

So what wiring harness are you planning on using??? All of the F/P controll is in the IRCM on the '87-'88 TCs...

Sounds like you made a mess.

First off....putting the fuel pump on a switch is not a bright idea....

Since you chopped everything up to begin with I would go ahead and remove all the existing engine wiring harness from under the hood and if you removed the ECU, there is already a feed to the fuel pump that would have come off the old ECU relay in the pass kick panel.

My suggestion is to get an engine harness from an 85-86 TC.  Get it complete to the ECU and it will have the plugs you need to connect to your fuel pump wiring that is in the car.  I don't think the 88 3.8's used the IRCM , and the 85-86 TC harness will be much easier to work with.
