Colbert report

on the Colbert Report tonight he kept asking for a 1967 Mercury Cougar with the GT package in green... he was willing to pay $6k if it had a cherry interior. LOL

Saw that too. It HAS to be the GT package...and he's lookin at the dry states...no rust!

I have a lot more respect for that guy now.

not if he's only willing to pay 6k for a mint car. He's insane if he thinks he'll find one for that, I know i wouldnt sell it for only 6k. here a little more on the gt.
 
 It offered a firmer suspension, bigger shocks, thicker anti-roll bar, power front disc brakes, wide-oval tires, low-restriction exhaust system and unique styling features. The Cougar GT's engine was a 390 V8 rated at 335 hp, capable of 0-60 acceleration in 8.1 seconds. Transmissions included 3-speed and 4-speed manuals or an optional 3-speed Merc-O-Matic that allowed "manual shifting" down to 2nd gear below 71 mph or 1st gear below 20 mph.

the show's a comedy... and it was a cherry interior, not whole car. I'm sure he just pulled the # out of his @ss

Right...the mere fact he went on about a car was cool.

The fact that it was a COUGAR was great.

The best part: the Cougar wasn't the butt of his joke and he never mentioned how great Toyotas are these days!
