England. Really good off road. Really, really, really bad reliability (as with most British cars)
2015 Mustang GT Premium - 5.0, 6-speed, Guard Green - too much awesome for one car

1988 5.0 Thunderbird :birdsmily: SOLD SEPT 11 2010: TC front clip/hood ♣ Body & paint completed Oct 2007 ♣ 3.55 TC rear end and front brakes ♣ TC interior ♣ CHE rear control arms (adjustable lowers) ♣ 2001 Bullitt springs ♣ Energy suspension poly busings ♣ Kenne Brown subframe connectors ♣ CWE engine mounts ♣ Thundercat sequential turn signals ♣ Explorer overhead console (temp/compass display) ♣ 2.25" off-road dual exhaust ♣ T-5 transmission swap completed Jan 2009 ♣

Uhhh, 3 really bads.....even more unreliable than the current Explorer 96 ?

Dad wants a Discovery, but if the car is not assembled in the US, Canada or Mexico, we cant import that car. Any other suggestion of a good off road car ?

An old VW "Baja" beetle.
Death awaits you all with nasty, big, pointy teeth.

1988 5.0 Bird, mostly stock, partly not, now gone to T-Bird heaven.
1990 Volvo 740GL. 114 tire-shredding horsies, baby!

He's in Mexico. He doesn't have to get an old one ;)

I second the Jeep recommendation. I had two Cherokees and was happy with the second one (the first was an '87, 4-cyl, automatic that sucked, the second was an '87, 6-cyl automatic that was good). They're good off road, fairly reliable, and cheap and easy to fix when they break

Rover Defender90 is quite capable.  Used to have one, drove circles around my brothers Jeep (which I liked too).  Hard to find though.
