5th Annual UPS Car Classic - A Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show to Benefit the United Way
Oct 15th, 2005, UPS facility: 14841 Sweitzer Lane, Laurel, MD 10am-4pm, (Rain Date Oct 16th)
INFO
Jim Lanham at (301) 604-4652 or (301) 390-9085 or Alan Lanham at (240) 832-8868

My cousin mentioned this one to me. He said they had something like 1000 cars last year with classes covering everything and anything. They are also supposed to have a dyno and burnout competition.

I'll probably head down there as long as the cars running decent Saturday morning.

Any other takers?

It's Gumby's fault.

That sounds like a good show.  I'll probably go.  Wonder how much dyno'ing costs?  It'd be neat to see the difference between the stock and converted Cougs.

Due to the amount of time I need (have to take my car through emissions and prep it for the show), I will not be bringing the car to the show but am 95% sure I will be there as a spectator.

That was the largest car show I've seen in MD yet...

I was wondering what the UPS stood for - duh, UPS brown, as in the delivery company :D

Dyno's were $75 for two runs, bu you had to have your car inside the car show to try it..

The UPS early Ford Truck:

One area of the show (there were others- my pics don't do it justice)

Some nice upgrades to a Mark:

By the look on the driver, Guess this car didn't have air bags.

Big engine

That was a very good show. I got there about 3:00. I was late due to some unforseen problems.

To make a long story short I ran my car on 6 cylinders for the ride home from emissions because 2 plug wires decided to separate themselves from the plugs. While taking care of that problem I decided to work on some other things so I ended up getting a late start.

bondocougar- nice pictures. I'll get some of mine up when I have a chance.
That guy in the LSC, I think was from Waldorf. I met him in 2004 at the Carlisle Ford Nationals. It was cool to see him again.

Also there is a place in Dundalk that does dynoing for about 70 dollars. If I can remember exactly who it is I'll let you know. Cool thing is that you won't have a crowd of people watching your car run.
