Can you spot the difference?

OK I finally got around to changing out my blower motor after driving around for 3 weeks without it.  The ford dealer didn't have a replacement (of course) so I actually had to special order one from Pep Boys :yuck:  The part# is right, but when I got the old one out......well just take a look.  Also note that the screw holes on the  of the new one do not match up with the blower motor housing.
Luckily I can trim the  and use the old plastic one with the gasket that goes around the motor.  According to the Ford dealer (who I brought the old motor to to show what I had) that motor isn't correct.  The new one I got is.  To those of you who haven't done a blower motor with the Auto Temp. control yet, be prepared......

So what you are saying is go to a Salvage yard and rip one out of an existing ATC car?

Nope take it to your local NAPA have them pull the AC and heater illustrated catalog and match it up.

Like he said.  You can pull the old ond and see what they have that matches.  For reference here is the parts breakdown.  Apparently the system is the same in the T-bird, Cougar, Mustang, and Mark VII with some very minor differences that are noted within the diagram.
