1988 4spd man. 289 Ci Cougar September 17, 2005, 04:57:30 AM Up for sale is what has been my baby for the past 4 years, my 88 Cougar LS, it is located in Indianapolis, IN. I need to sell this car to get a tow rig for my jeep that I am building. I would also be interested in a possible trade for a truck depending on what it is. Right now I am looking at getting a military CUCV.$3000 obo or trade for diesel truckThis car started out as an LS (3.8L AOD) with 28K miles on it when I bought it 4 years ago. Since then I have done the following modifications:DrivetrainRebuilt 289ci v-8 (casting is from a 1965 galaxie)Holley 600 cfm, vaccum secondariesEdelbrock Performer 289 intake4 spd manualHeddman 3/4 Length headers2 1/4" exhaust back w/ dynomax sidepipes and h-pipeMSD 6ALN ignitionTC twin fans for coolingFlexalite Electronic ThermostatFord Racing 2300C springs up front, 98GT springs in rearTC rear end, posi, 3.73's, diskAudio:Alpine DeckInfinity Reference 3.5" in dashInfinity Reference 3 way 6x9's in rear deckJBL 6.5" in doors2 Infinity Reference 12" woofers in trunk in custom box1 mtx and 2 bazooka ampsExterior/Apperance:Body does have some rust, but not very much at all for an 88 in Indiana, the front drivers side quarter pannel needs to be repainted (there was some body work done to the car before i purchased it and the clear coat didnt stick well). Also, the hood is black and the rest of the car is maroon, although it doesn't look that bad, I like it.TC hoodTC gaugesTC wheels20% window tintI also have a set of gt40-p heads that I need to get rid of as well (make an offer)I am sure there is more that I have done that isnt listed right now. If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me at dmbooth@purdue.eduNOTE: These pictures are pretty old, I am up at school right now and havent had time to get new ones. There are a few discrepencies between the pictures and now. The hood scooop inserts are now in, the wiring is cleaned up in the engine compartment, the Ford Racing front springs are in, also a proportioning valve is now in place (for the TC rear), the stupid ricer lights are gone from the front and the interior is all put back together, and there is a new B&M hammer shift handle on it.
