i miss the old chat room on the other board too... not sure what the cost of it would be though... might be the hold up..

I looked into it just now...got a major headache trying to figure out what derivation of English these geeks are speaking. Sheesh. Anyhow...it can be done but I personally am not going to attempt an installation. It's pretty complex to do, as it requires a hack into our current board setup. We can have our host install it for us--for a fee, of course.

It all comes down to money unfortunately. Carm and I foot the bill for pretty much everything here (hosting, domain, board license) and we'll be renewing things in October again. With things as tight as they are, I cannot absorb the cost of adding the chat room, and I'm sure Carm feels the same way. However, if you want it, we should find a way for you to have it. Donations would be needed. If you're willing, we are too.

Gimme access, I'm sure I can tinker with it, never pay for things when you don't have to.
