you could get a manual rack out of a non power car seat and then jsut swap in the seat fram thingy's. I would just unplug the power seats if you just need to use it.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I think what Sleeper is asking is, with the seat frozen in one position by a bad motor, how do you remove it from the car.  To get it out, you really need to be able to move the seat full forward and full backward to get to all the bolts.  I'm gonna have the same problem on my '84 LS.  Its power driver's seat is dead and I need to get it out of the car.  I'm also very curious how this can be done.  Thanks, and I hope I didn't translate your request wrong, Sleeper.

well, mine went out awhile back, but seeing that I had just put the Halo seats out of the ASC/McLaren in it, (  )
the bolts were all nice and clean, so I just loosed 'em up, then ran em out with muh fingers.
If your bolts are rusty, this'll be a bigger problem, I'm all for going right now, and squirting some kinda rust buster like wd 40 or something....

you got it , i got the front out and can tilt the seat back but not enought to get to the back bolts .i need to "kill" the motor so i can slide the seat forward to get the rear bolts out.

btw the seat is all the way down and back cant even get a wrench on the heads of the bolts.
