Well, I've finally jumped in and joined ya

So there it is. I just put a deposit down on an '87 T-Bird, and i couldnt be more excited.

As soon as i get it i'll put up some pics and you can tell me what ya think!

Glad to be part of the family  :tg:

one quick question

odometer reads 101km, switch it to miles, it reads 124

Welcome to the board. Glade to hear that another t'bird is saved from the crusher. Can't wait to see pictures

I'd say the miles is correct. 124000 miles x 1.609344 = 199550km. The odometer can't display a 2 so it just keeps the 1 there.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

could be mexico too....  If it is a digital display it cant show a 2 on the mile/kilo.... Can however read the speedo to 199MPH with a small mod.

200km ain't nuthin.... Here's a freinds odo(miles) on a '88. This pix was taken a year and a half ago, he's still driving it(its at 330 something now). Heads never off, tranny never rebuilt, its a fact... as he bought it new..
