According to this guy, a kid offered him $9k for the car just to take the engine out and put it into a Ford Escort...guy also told me it's a direct bolt-in. Some were sold back to dealerships in the USA (with US speedometers installed), so a '92 Cobra in Maine would not be out of the ordinary (one of the board members here from a northern state almost bought one new, if i remember correctly)...
