rear end

curious if i get a rear end out of a 94-98 mustang 8.8 will 15 inch rim fit them 88 bird sport

As long as you have the V6/GT rear brakes they should clear as the V6 SN95 cars did come with 15" wheels from the factory.  I say this cautiously due to some aftermarket wheels have really thick "spokes" and can interfere with calipers (this is on all cars) but this is usually when someone is trying to pack a large brake package in a small wheel.

the v6 came with 7.5 correct or did some come with 8.8?

7.5, but the axles, brakes, and everything will swap between the two, less the ring/pinion..no idea if bearings and seals interchange, been awhile, can't remember.

Same axle bearing and seal which makes some sense as the axles are the same so it means the axle tubes are the same or at least I would think they are.  Differential bearings and races are different but that too makes sense as the ring gear and pinion are different sizes.

Well, I knew they'd be the same dia, wasn't sure if the 8.8 may have had a wider bearing. Makes sense though, what you said. ;)
