Re tired
I didn't need an alarm clock this morning because I retired Friday! 32 years at that job, 44 years working steady since graduation.
Going to have plenty of time now to tinker on the cars, go camping, catch up on odd jobs around the house etc.
Wife is going to continue to work until our youngest (25 years old) gets a little more established in life, maybe another year or so then we're going to start touring the country with our RV (fifth wheel trailer), looking for a new place as a home base. We hate the long cold winters here in New England and being in the Northeast part of the country makes every desired destination (Grand Canyon, Yosemite, etc.) that much further to travel.
My financial advisor said Tennessee and South Carolina are very "tax" friendly and the cost of living is considerably less than here in Rhode Island.
I can't wait to see all this country has to offer.
Living in Rhode Island (the smallest state) one tends to think small. I can leave my house and in 1 hour either be in Connecticut (to the west), Massachusetts (to the north) or the Atlantic Ocean (east or south). I'm sure looking forward to traveling all over the US.
