3G Alternator Swap for 88 V6

I've been contemplating upgrading the stock alternator on my 88' Cougar 3.8. I've read quite a few posts on how to take care of the electrical portion of this job. I was wondering if anyone knows of an alternator that bolts right up to this specific year/motor and if they have any pointers for the install.

if you still don't have the info, i picked up a 1997 3.8 mustang 3g alt ant it went right tru in my 1988 5.0 with minor buffing to the bracket and all 3 wires were the same color and so easy to hook up, still need to get bigger b+ wire to replace the stock 10ga one but it works like a charm and easy swap with no hassle and no wondering for wire color

The 88  3.8L does not have the 2G alt as stock. It has the Mitsubishi alternator. Don't recall anybody doing this upgrade on this forum.
