Beltronics Vector FX

Just before I did my motor swap I went ahead and bought one of these for christmas for myself.

Little did I know this badboy was a pretty good investment. I went ahead and bought the cheaper one, but it was worth every cent. I figured it would be alright with accuracy and I was right. It is 1 mph and .1 seconds slower than it should be, this was run at Indanapolis Raceway Park. The important part though is that it is extremely consistant so there are no worries. I figure if you can find a long strip of road in the country (i'm not condoning driving recklessly :) ) hit run and go. Between myself and my buddies we have run this thing well over 75 times, think about how much that would be at the track, $$$

Another benefit is that it not only gives you 1/4 mile runs, but it gives you real time graphs of the g's that you are pulling accelerating, decelerating, and cornering.

My buddy had one of the $250 g-tech premium timers, it was really sweet and it gave you tons more information that you would ever need. Unfortunately it took what seemed like forever to calibrate it and make it accurate. With the Vector, you hit a button and go, down and dirty, but it works.

Not sure if this is in the right section of the forums, but I thought I would just throw this out there. It makes it so nice to tune your car when the seat of your pants just isnt that accurate.
