1988 Thunderbird Sport sequential tail light installation

for the inner 2 wire lights have people been modifying the housing and using the same 3 wire sockets as on the outer lights? or is there a smaller 3 wire sockets that will fit with out modifying the housing?  I am having a hard time bringing myself to dremel my mint tail lights.

The housing the lamps fit in is easily replaceable with just a few bolts. You can also epoxy/jbweld it back together if you really mess it up.

The housings themselves are pretty common and rarely damaged at junkyards. Not like the actual tail lights lenses that are always cracked or broken.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
