1987 Tbird Refurb Project - Turbo Gauge Hose connection issue

First time posting since joining forum. Lots of great info here on this site.

I'm in process of refurb of my 1987 Turbo Coupe - I was replacing bad bulbs in buttstuffog instrument cluster and noticed that the line for the turbo gauge was disconnected. I now have the cluster totally removed but I can't seem to find where to re-connect the line. I have the official repair books from Ford and I also tried working with Ford Techs on JustAnswers to no avail. Might you be able to tell me where the connection might be so can complete this phase of project.

Question 2 - dash board has seen better days - how would one go about getting that replaced. Will also need rear dash behind rear seats as well as new headliner. The exterior body is in great shape except for Clearcoat damage. Going refurb interior back to factory spec then paint job.

Many Thanks

First , Welcome to the club...Lots of info to be obtained from here.. Im still learning myself. I don't have a Turbo car so not sure on the hose placement for boost gauge. So far as your dash , it will be difficult to find 1 in good shape . However you can get a dash cap or overlay that looks good when done right. Try ebay or stock interiors.com... I used 1 years ago and it looked nice. Also the area by the rear glass can be restored as long as the cardboard hasn't been wet or rotted. What I did was remove it and recovered it with thin audio carpet like used on speaker boxes...Found a color that was very close and it turned out great.... You may check out the NATO site also... Turbo Coupe purist on that site..Good luck. ... Ray

Check the end of the tubing to see if the nipple it plugs onto broke off and is in the end of the tubing.
I have not worked on a turbo cluster, but I think the nipple for the tubing would be easy to find if it is still there.

Thanks for response -- OK - the nipple actually stayed in the line when it got disconnected - trying to find the line so that I can re-insert the nipple for the gauge to properly register. This has been my biggest challenge is finding where the tubing comes through the firewall and then trace to instrument cluster. Another option is if someone can tell me what is the right line on the turbo intercooler so that I can insert a whole new line to the interior.

Thanks
