UPR Mustang coilovers on a TBird?

Do any of you guys have any experience with UPR's coilovers for mustangs on a Thunderbird?
Will it work? I don't know much about the suspension on our cars but I have a friend that's practically giving me a set and I'm tired of trying to salvage springs to lower my thunderbird.

Any help is appreciated!

Yes they will kinda fit. It's been a while since I put mine on. I think all you need is camber plates the top of the strut. And make sure you tape up your shocks so your call overs don't rattle.

The coil overs rattle?  What part needs to be taped exactly?

Basically gotta know your strut/brake combo.  83-86 birds had 10 inch brakes and wide strut mounting spindle.  87/88 TC (not sure about regular models) have 11 inch brakes and narrow spindle mount.  The top will need Fox T-bird caster camber  plates.  Maximum Motorsports.  My new C/C plates were missing 6 bolts...  Anyway check out coolcats.net.

Min aren't not UPRs, they're MM coil-overs, I also have the MM C/C plates. Mine didn't rattle at all.

I have the fox mustang UPR coilovers front and rear on my TC. Rears just needed Chuck's shock adapters and that was it.

Gives it a nice stance..

Very good look indeed.  Probably will be buying my friend's set of UPR front coilovers.  I'm assuming you have camber plates for the front?

What shocks and struts are you using?
Also what Springs?
I'm looking into going with possibly the upr coilovers and from what I understand you need better dampers for higher spring Rates...

The front struts are Lakewood 90/10 drag struts for a fox stang. Front springs are 150lb springs that I spec'd with the UPR front end kit.
The rear consists of the UPR fox stang stock location coilover kit (with the Chuck adapters). 150lb springs as well with Strange 10 way adjustable fox stang shocks.
Keep in mind mine is more oriented for drag use so your spring choice may differ. I will say that the car drives great on the street with my current spring choice although I am planning on swapping the rear springs for some 175lb pieces to fine tune the rear suspension for drag launching.

Edit: As was mentioned earlier the mounting pad on the spindles for the struts is narrower on the later TC's. I made up the gap with weld wheel lugnut washers.
