1988 3.8 KOER Code 18 Error August 22, 2015, 03:08:37 PM This old Bird runs a little sluggish and has a ruff idle. Checked the basics, plugs, spark, filters. The KOEO (Key On Engine Off) was error code 11 or all is good, but the KOER (Engine Running) was error code 18. My Ford Error Code Reader manual list the issue as SPOUT circuit open or Spark Angle Word (SAW) is open. I have check the SPOUT and it is in and passed a quick resistance test.
