Wow. Probably needs tires that are 29 years newer though.

Agree with both statements above.......needs younger tires, and want!

I'd love to have this car.  I'd have a hard time not putting a few 1000 miles on it every summer though.  I'm guessing that would destroy its value to a "collector".

Stunning. Probably never had any repairs done like leaking gaskets, etc...seems like everything in the engine bay is in place right where it belongs.

Wow. Nice car.

On a side note I replaced the stock spring isolators for the rear springs on my Thunderbird. The rear went up about an inch or so. I though something was wrong till I saw this Cougar. Apparently they did ride stupid high from the factory. It's more noticeable on my car as I lowered the nose about 1.25".

It's not really obvious in my signature pic but I get so many friends telling me "hurr hurr nice truck stance Paul". I'd like to throat-punch them sometimes.
I'd like to lower it just a little but honestly between curbs, and silly road shoulders, and jacking the thing up, I like it very much as it is. I can drive anywhere I need to. Look at the muscle-car era. They sat pretty high. THERE I win :D

These same people get all upset when you make fun of them for having to use low-profile jacks and pieces of plywood and fussing over exactly how to lift the thing up. It's just not worth it to me.

I bought 98 Mustang GT springs and Maximum Morotsports adjustable rear control arms just so the rear could have the same 2" gap between the wheel and wheel arch as the front :hick:
