turn signal switch

I recently discovered if you jiggled the turn signal lever my headlights would shut off. I ordered a new turn signal switch but it didn't come with the turn signal lever and I can't figure out how to get the old one out. Anyone do this before. Thanks

One of them you can just tug on and it comes out, the other one has wires inside and you will break it. Im about 75% sure its the turn signal lever that doesn't have any wires inside. There is a friction fitting designed to pop out rather then break.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

You're correct thank you sir. I tried pulling it out but it didn't want to come out I thought there might have been something holding it in there couple taps with a hammer and it popped right out.
