87 Cougar LS 3.8 gold December 02, 2014, 10:46:21 PM http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/4779654263.htmlThis car is not far from me at all. Looks pretty clean. It has been for sale for about 6 months. I have no space/time for the car otherwise I would pick it up for a 5.0 swap project or just to cruise (slowly) around in. I barely have time to drive my Thunderbird around 1-2 times a week in the summer so who knows when I'd drive this Cougar. Plus the wife would probably kill me if I bought it :hick:. Quote Selected

87 Cougar LS 3.8 gold Reply #2 – December 03, 2014, 12:31:44 PM I bet I could pick it up for less than $1500. Probably worth it if the only rust is that small spot on the rear lower quarter. Quote Selected

Due to my job I'm required to live in the city. Residency rule and all. Maybe I should just buy the neighbor's house, knock it down, and build a big arse garage. The wife would loooove that idea. He bought the neighbors house, cut a big hole in the front of it, and put in a garage door. He boarded up all of the windows. Taa-daa, it's a garage now. LOL Quote Selected

LOLWhere I live everything is 2-3 level brick houses. I would have cars in the basp00get . Plus cutting through brick is a bit more of a pain in the arse. Quote Selected
87 Cougar LS 3.8 gold Reply #7 – February 18, 2015, 02:10:28 PM Still for sale: http://chicago.craigslist.org/wcl/cto/4891541188.htmlMinimal rust as well. Easy fix stuff it looks like. I want to buy this but I have no space. Someone should save it. I'm really surprised it hasn't sold. Maybe the owner doesn't want it to get trashed by a teenager or something? Quote Selected

87 Cougar LS 3.8 gold Reply #10 – February 19, 2015, 09:34:44 AM I remember when I first moved to VA Beach in town,,neighbor came over to this young punk (me) and confronted him about how "working on our own car in public" or in the view of traffic effects their property value. "it looks trashy to have tools and a car jack out here".yes I was that guy,, back then I didn't have much of a voice to stick up for myself so I had to call a tow truck and have my water pump changed.,,, granted to the neighbors defense it was in work for 3 afternoons.back then I took it like she must have been discussing my disgusting activities with the whole neighborhood, she spoke in a tense as though she implied she was in agreement with everyone else.I felt like all the curtains were partially peeled back and everyone staring at the neighborhood pack leader.we didn't last long,, they did a good job of getting rid of a hill billy.these are the same people who ate in my back yard because there was a power outage and I went to the woods in back of the complex ,, set up cinder blocks and used a grate out of an old refrigerator to build a fire out back,, a gentle one,, got some coals together and made food. ,, and also kept our food & milk in the cold ass creek bed back over the hill. like a small fridge.they kept asking how I kept the food good, they lost thiers and were more concerned with the upcoming scams they are gonna pull on their renters insurance. I had a 1980 4-eye mustang in the early 90s when it was all the rage to do the modern nose-swap makeover. I lived in a community with "rules" too, lol. I had my mustang up on ramps swapping a red 92 header panel onto my blue mustang (along with a mix of black and white ground effects pieces and a gray hatch!). And the neighborhood maintenance man comes up and says "you can't do any work that requires a jack or ramps". I told him "I'll keep that in mind for next time" and kept on working. I lived on a cul-de-sac, nobody was going to see the blasphemous work I was doing. Now, the "easter egg mustang" as my friends all called it (because of it's many colors), everybody saw that. And heard it's 90s-rific' cherry bombs, and hatch-o-subwoofers. Yeah, I was that guy too Quote Selected
