t5 swap no turn signals or speedo readings

hey there just got a t5 swapped into the 1986 cougar ls was an auto aod car and now that its complete the guys managed to get the breaks and reverse going but i have no turn signals and my speedo isent being read even though the connector is connected just checked will no start with the key as it normally would with the auto in it.

Jump the nss switch.

the t-5 if it was from a 83-93 mustang had a regular cable speedo. tbird/cougar from 1980 on had electric. you need your electric pickup from your aod to be plugged back in.

for turn signals, check fuses.

i wouldn't bring it.back to whom.ever did the conversion.

where can i jump the neutral saftey switch and what colour wires are they?

My '83 Bird has a mechanically driven speedo.  I would venture to say that any of the Birds and Cougars with a digital cluster will have the electric speedo sensor but the buttstuffog dash cars will have a mechanically driven speedo.

This is a sign that the ignition switch has shiznit the bed, a common and dangerous problem with these cars. Replace your ignition switch. Do it now. Ideally, you should disconnect the battery until you do.

Ignition switch was replaced two months ago it's fine

No. All speedos as of 1985 are electrical.
