motor mounts

finally got time to pull the 3.8 out ,ready to transplant the 5.0. I have a question about the mounts, looked on ebay they got some for a price of course. so im guessing a mustang, Lincoln mark with 5.0 should work, any others that anyone knows of or should I just fab some up myself?

No Mustang mounts will fit an 86-88 TBird (with the stock K-member).

I do some direct fit poly mounts. Replaces brackets and all from engine to K-member. $175/shipped.

they fit ***PERFECTLY*** and what i mean is exactly proportioned to the block landing points.

I have the ChuckW mounts in mine as well. Couldn't ask for more.

Chuck,

I know this may sound silly but do you make these yourself or do you have it farmed out? I have the rear Mustang shock mounts on my '83 and the quality for the cost is outstanding so my assumption is that you do it yourself.

thanks guys,im sure chucks mounts are awesome but I work in a steel processing plant as a cnc plasma burner and brake operator so if I cant figure it out that's when I will buy from chuck. we got lots of s laying around that I can play with.

Darren-
I have a local shop laser cut and form the bits per my drawings. I weld them up myself in the garage. Then I send them out locally for powdercoat, to save me the hassle (I used to powdercoat them all myself). Then assemble everything and box it up.

I'd fabbed up some of the early 2.3T prototypes myself 12+ years ago, but it's much easier to do the design and CAD work and have the rough bits handled elsewhere, and build them up in house.

each mount is its own design.
to enable me to use a larger oil pan i fab'd up 1/2'' plate steel with no offset.
the plate is flat and is sorta triangle shaped but each side is different.

well I found some mounts at the junk yard, they had an 88 cougar with a 5.0, also off the subject, I picked up a rebuilt c4 that I found in a 79 pickup. it has a floor shift that im thinking may be some sort of slap stick..:burnout:
