2.3 Turbo Issues.

So I've felt like my engine has been horribly down on power lately. It's an automatic so the boost only tops off at about 7 lbs but it has horribly slow free revs that take close to 6 to 7 seconds to go all the way up to red-line. Also I tried doing a 0-60 to see where it'd be, it took 14 seconds. Lastly it idles between 500 and 700 rpm. It doesn't feel like it use to and my dad could verify that, what could be wrong??

1. Run Codes
2. Check fuel pressure (the small hose in the tank cracking with age is common, it will run, but like )

Thank you!
Also I'm getting horrible gas mileage! Something like 13 to 15 mpg

Honestly, that is very vague and so hard to troubleshoot.  Could be the timing belt has jumped at tooth or two.  As suggested could be fuel related.  Vacuum line could be corroded or broken.  God only knows.  Check it out and let us know.

Distributor could have loosened up and lost some timing too.  Should be 10* with the spout out.  If it makes you feel any better, my 2.3T/C3auto cougar only gets 15-16mpg

My last fill up i Got 9.9 miles to the gallon. I know I drive on the more aggressive side but 10 sounds nothing like what its best was, about 30 according to my dad.

Usually with low fuel pressure they will go into a continued bog when the boost comes up...

Even with boost up to 12.5psi my white bird with A4LD would get 17-18 in town, and 25+ on the highway... The 5-speeds were about same in town, but could push 30 on the highway...
