That ad sounds so sad.  Someone e-mail him and tell him to find a $500 beater and keep the bird.  He could pass it on to his kid when they turn 16.

Pansie.

i have two kids and they cruise in the cougar every time i pick them up. i could understand the wife disliking it, but still.

i had a 4 door neon when i got married. biggest peice of junk they called a car ever made. despite having less then 100k it was in a junkyard by 120k. me and the ex drove the tbird everyday for at least two years. it wasn't until she was going on kid #2 i decided to get the crown vic, and she still drove the tbird 9 times out of 10.

I wish the guy the best of luck, i really do, but he could just come out and say he doesn't want the car anymore.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
