86 Cougar Died

HI

My 86 Cougar has a 3.8L with CFI and auto. The car recently had the TFI module replaced since the car had typical problematic symptons. Now similar problems as before are reappearing. Plus now the car will not start but turns over fine. The resistance checks on the coil are OK. Any ideas ?

Note: I pulled codes and got an error 89, an AXOD circuit failure.

You sure? When did you convert it to front-wheel-drive?

I hope you mean:

KOEO code 89 for your car means the exhaust heat control solenoid is an open circuit.

How many forum threads do you have for this car? You seem to bouncing all over the place. I think you would do better to keep one thread going to give some continuity to the problem.

HI

The TFI problem was only part of the problem. The pick coil was replaced today and the car starts right up.

Thanks
