New to the Forum and Picture of our 1984 Thunderbird

Hi Everyone

Below is a pic of the Families Thunderbird it is a 1984 , 3.8 , and is a grey color (still orig paint).  It was purchased locally from an elderly woman (orig owner)and we got it w/ 39,000 orig miles , the car now has appx 85,000 and has been a daily driver for 6yrs and still runs well, its still amazingly rust free and only has a bit of rust behind the rear wheel wells (which it had when we bought it.

XXX

The last pic is of my old Mustang Mach 1 which is also a daily (nice weather) driver

Not sure of the year of the Bronco . I think its later , there are a few older ones in the neighborhood.  This last summer a guy up the block sold an old one for $450 that looked to be in good shape, since the gas prices went up over the past couple of years I noticed at lease 4 in the immediate area w/ sale signs on them, I missed out on an old 59 white Caddy w/ the big fins last year (went for $900) and was pretty solid.

I always like to look at old cars when I see them for sale on the side of the road as I know a few guys in the area that like vintage projects so keep a look out for them,
(I hope to find a 69 mach that is local one day that's in drivable cond that I can use as a fair weather driver as that was my first car)

That was my favorite year for the Mustang as well, and I used to have one (still miss it). Also had a 73 that was fun in high school. Nice cars, and welcome to the board!

The 1971 I already have is my favorite of the classic period Mustangs as I like the design best it is very streamlined and looks fast just standing still.  James Bond also used one in "Diamonds Are Forever" as well as it being the orig car in "Gone in 60 Seconds" (the original version).  Even so I still want the 69 as it was my first car but will sadly probably have to sell the 71 if I locate a 69 as I can't have too many cars over here.

Welcome!  That car looks so clean, hard to find in that condition.  Good luck with it and stick around, would love to see more pictures and hear more about it.
