460 big block question.

Hey everyone. I just recently picked up a 460 big block that needs a rebuild. I just got the sucker on the stand and is ready to be torn down.

Now does anyone know the bore size of this engine? And does anyone know how to wake these engines up a little bit? Its a 1984 460 out of a f250 btw. Thank you :)

Dont remember the bore size off hand, but the real way to wake these up is all on the top. Heads cam and intake. Find some older heads like D1VE heads the pre emission heads. A nice cam, and a nice intake. I built a 460 for a f150 i had, I left the bottom end alone as with the heads, put a nice rv cam in it with a weiand stealth dual plane intake it was a very torqey motor and i was very impressed with it
