Rusty cylinder walls help!!! January 13, 2014, 10:22:39 AM Hello everyone I just took off the cylinder heads on my 460 and the left bank of cylinders has some pretty sever rust in them. Now I would really like to save this block and build it up. I bought some loctite naval jelly to see if this does anything. does anybody have any suggestions? Rusty cylinder walls help!!! Reply #4 – January 13, 2014, 06:05:33 PM The engine was sitting for about 10 years in a garage from what the previous owner told me. The rest of the engine is pretty darn clean but the cylinders is really the only issue. I bought some naval jelly I'm hoping it'll work I guess we'll find out Quote Selected

Rusty cylinder walls help!!! Reply #6 – January 13, 2014, 08:57:47 PM The block is standard bore so I don't think I should worry too much about the block being unusable. Sometime this week I'll try to treat it and give you guys some pics of the before and after if it works out lol I'm hoping it will. Thanks for all the help Quote Selected
